Teengenerate

Teengenerate was a Finnish punk band formed in 1976 in Tampere, Finland. They were one of the first punk bands in Finland, along with Appendix and Eppu Normaali.

Teengenerate's sound was characterized by its fast tempo, aggressive vocals, and distorted guitars. Their lyrics often dealt with social and political issues, such as unemployment, poverty, and the Vietnam War. Their music was heavily influenced by the early punk bands, such as the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, and the Damned.

The band released their debut album, "Päättäjä on petturi", in 1979. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Teengenerate as one of the leading punk bands in Finland. The band released two more albums, "Kadonnut sukupolvi" (1980) and "Rock Against Reagan" (1982), before disbanding in 1983.

Teengenerate reunited in 1998, and they have continued to perform and record new music ever since. The band has released six studio albums since their reunion, including "The Horn Section" (1999), "Punk Rock Academy" (2002), and "Endless Vacation" (2014).

Teengenerate is considered to be one of the most important punk bands in Finnish history. Their music has been praised for its energy, its originality, and its social and political commentary. The band has influenced many other Finnish punk bands, including Terveet Kädet, the 69 Eyes, and the HIM.
