Mika Miko

Mika Miko is an American punk rock band formed in Oakland, California, in 2000. The band's current lineup consists of singer and guitarist Jennifer Clavin, bassist Kate Hall, and drummer Mike Geffen.

Mika Miko released their debut album, "Cinematics," in 2002 on Troubleman Unlimited Records. The album was met with critical acclaim, with AllMusic calling it "one of the best punk albums of the year." The band followed up with their second album, "We Are the Center," in 2004, which was also met with positive reviews.

In 2005, Mika Miko signed to Kill Rock Stars Records and released their third album, "Diacritical Marks." The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number 18 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. The band toured extensively in support of the album, playing shows with bands such as the Melvins, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Liars.

In 2007, Mika Miko released their fourth album, "Promises, Promises." The album was produced by J. Robbins of Jawbox and Burning Airlines. The album was met with positive reviews, with Pitchfork Media calling it "one of the best punk albums of the decade."

Mika Miko continued to tour extensively in support of "Promises, Promises." In 2008, the band played at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. In 2009, the band went on hiatus.

In 2012, Mika Miko reunited and played a series of shows. The band has since continued to tour and record, releasing their fifth album, "Mika Miko" in 2015.
