Masshysteri
Masshysteri is a Finnish punk band formed in 1981. The band is known for its fast-paced, energetic live shows and its humorous and political lyrics. Masshysteri has released ten studio albums, three live albums, and two compilation albums.
The band was founded by vocalist Juha "Jay" Lewing and guitarist Jani "Janski" Kinnunen. They were later joined by bassist Kari "Kake" Kankaanpää and drummer Juhani "Jallu" Rantanen. Masshysteri's early sound was influenced by British punk bands such as The Clash and The Sex Pistols. However, the band soon developed its own unique style, which incorporated elements of ska, reggae, and metal.
Masshysteri's first album, "Pelko ja viha" ("Fear and Hatred"), was released in 1983.
