Infest

Infest is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 in Bradenton, Florida. The band's current lineup consists of Joey Koerner (guitar, vocals), Joe Utterback (guitar, vocals), Brett Walters (bass guitar), and Eric Stevenson (drums). Infest is known for its fast, aggressive sound and its political lyrics, which often deal with social justice and anti-capitalism.

The band's early sound was influenced by hardcore punk bands such as Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys. However, Infest also incorporated elements of thrash metal and speed metal into its music, which gave the band a more aggressive and unique sound. The band's lyrics often dealt with political and social issues, such as racism, sexism, and poverty.

Infest released its debut album, "Infest," in 1987. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish the band as one of the leading lights of the Florida hardcore scene. The band followed up "Infest" with the albums "A Man Called Destruction" (1989), "After The Fall" (1991), and "No Warning" (1993).

In 1994, Infest broke up. The members of the band went on to form new bands, such as A.F.I., The Locust, and Eighteen Visions. However, Infest reunited in 2001 and has been sporadically active ever since. The band released its most recent album, "The End of the Beginning," in 2013.

Infest is considered to be one of the most important and influential bands in the history of hardcore punk. The band's music has been praised for its energy, aggression, and political consciousness. Infest has also been credited with helping to popularize the genre of crust punk, which is a more extreme and aggressive form of hardcore punk.
