Discharge

Discharge is an English hardcore punk band formed in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, in 1977. They are often credited with being one of the first bands to play crust punk, a subgenre of punk rock characterized by its aggressive and abrasive sound. Discharge's music is also known for its political lyrics, which often deal with themes of war, nuclear disarmament, and social justice.

The band's original lineup consisted of Terry "Tezz" Roberts (vocals), Tony Roberts (guitar), Roy Wainwright (bass), and Jake Roberts (drums). They released their debut album, "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing", in 1980, which was a critical and commercial success. The album's title track became a punk anthem and is still considered one of the most influential songs in the genre.

Discharge continued to release albums and tour throughout the 1980s, but their lineup underwent several changes. In 1991, the band broke up, but they reunited in 2002 and have been active ever since.
