Circle Jerks

Circle Jerks were an American hardcore punk band formed in 1979 in Hermosa Beach, California. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Keith Morris, guitarist Greg Hetson, bassist Roger Rogerson, and drummer Lucky Lehrer.

Circle Jerks were one of the first hardcore punk bands to emerge from the Los Angeles punk scene, and their music was characterized by its fast tempos, aggressive lyrics, and political and social commentary. The band's debut album, Group Sex, was released in 1980 and was a critical and commercial success. Circle Jerks toured extensively throughout the early 1980s, and they released a number of successful albums, including Wild in the Streets (1982), Golden Shower of Hits (1983), and Wonderful (1985).

In 1986, Morris left Circle Jerks to form the band Black Flag, and he was replaced by Zander Schloss. The band continued to tour and record throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, but they eventually broke up in 1995. Circle Jerks have since reunited on several occasions, and they continue to tour and record to this day.

Circle Jerks are considered to be one of the most influential hardcore punk bands of all time. Their music has been praised for its originality, energy, and social consciousness.
