Black Flag

Black Flag was an American hardcore punk band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California. The band was founded by guitarist Greg Ginn, who remained the sole constant member throughout its many lineup changes. Black Flag was one of the first hardcore punk bands, and their music was characterized by its fast tempos, aggressive lyrics, and DIY ethic. The band's early lineup included vocalist Keith Morris, bassist Chuck Dukowski, and drummer Brian Migdol. Morris was replaced by Ron Reyes in 1979, and Migdol was replaced by Robo in 1981. The band's classic lineup, which recorded the albums "Damaged" (1981) and "My War" (1984), featured Ginn, Dukowski, vocalist Henry Rollins, and drummer Bill Stevenson.

Black Flag was known for its confrontational live performances and its outspoken lyrics, which often addressed social and political issues.
