Big Boys

Big Boys were an American punk rock band from Austin, Texas, United States, formed in 1978. They were one of the first punk bands in Texas, and one of the first to release a full-length album. The band's music was characterized by its fast tempos, aggressive lyrics, and DIY ethic.

Big Boys were founded by vocalist Randy "Biscuit" Turner, guitarist Tim Kerr, bassist Chris Gates, and drummer Fred Urbon. The band's name was inspired by a local barbecue restaurant called Big Boy's Barbecue. Big Boys released their debut album, "Big Boys," in 1980. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish the band as one of the leading punk bands in the United States.

Big Boys released two more albums, "Where's My Towel?" (1983) and "Fun, Fun, Fun" (1985), before disbanding in 1987. The band reunited in 1994, and they have continued to perform sporadically since then.

Big Boys were one of the most important punk bands of the 1980s. Their music was influential to many later punk bands, and they helped to pave the way for the Austin punk scene. The band's members have gone on to have successful careers in music and other fields.
