Agnostic Front

Agnostic Front is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1980 in New York City, often credited with being one of the initiators of New York hardcore. For most of its existence, the band has revolved around vocalist Roger Miret and guitarist Vinnie Stigma.

Agnostic Front emerged from the New York hardcore scene in the early 1980s, alongside bands like Bad Brains, Warzone, and Murphy's Law. The band's early sound was characterized by fast tempos, aggressive vocals, and politically charged lyrics. Agnostic Front expressed anti-racist, anti-fascist, and pro-working class viewpoints in their lyrics.

The band's debut album, "Victim in Pain", was released in 1984 and helped to establish Agnostic Front as one of the leading bands in the hardcore scene. The album was followed by a series of successful releases, including "Cause for Alarm" (1986), "Liberty and Justice for..." (1987), and "One Voice" (1992).

Agnostic Front has continued to release albums and tour extensively throughout its career. The band has released a total of 11 studio albums, as well as numerous live albums, compilations, and EPs. Agnostic Front has also appeared on several soundtracks, including the films "Another State of Mind" (1984), "Repo Man" (1984), and "The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years" (1988).

The band's lineup has changed several times over the years, but Miret and Stigma have remained the core members. Other notable members of Agnostic Front have included guitarist Mike Gallo, bassist Rob Kabula, and drummer Jimmy Colletti.
